        Full Itinerary

Learn about Krakow through the best local restaurants and bars on this walking tour of traditional Polish food and historical monuments. After all, the best way to understand how to live like a local is to eat like a local!

Get your first taste of Polish cuisine and local beer over a discussion on Polish gastronomy in Small Market Square. From there we walk throught the vibrant historical heart of Krakow, to visit another fabulous hidden gem for a taste of soup so good they hold an annual festival for it.

Get your cameras out as we walk along Royal Way and catch the best panoramic view of the Royal Castle and Cathedral. Our Krakow food tour continues with an education in a national culinary treasure – pierogi!

With our belly full of Polish delicacies, we’ll walk through Kazimierz – formerly the Jewish quarter, a neighborhood that has blossomed into a buzzing Bohemian mecca of unique restaurants, bars, and shops. We revisit the district’s roots with a taste of the local Jewish cuisine, a shot of Bison vodka, and a listen to the live music that spills out of every restaurant on the main street.

At the end of our Krakow tour, you’ll probably be pretty tempted to stick around Kazimierz, but you’re also welcome to walk back to the city center with us. Regardless, be sure to ask your local guide for a rundown of the best-hidden haunts to spend the rest of a magical evening in Krakow.

Local Impact: How you will help the local community by joining this tour

        • We visit only locally-owned bars, restaurants, and food vendors that are off the main tourist trail, ensuring that they benefit from tourism in their cities.
        • Any leftover food not consumed on the tour is donated to the charity organization to be redistributed to the homeless.
        • We use only local transport (tram) or our feet so our carbon footprint is practically zero!

Marta was fabulous!! A super guide, an interesting and knowledgeable person, a good enthusiast! All was perfect!!!

        Ms. Mavis H. from Canada

This was an overall wonderful experience. Monika was great – congenial, fun, and informative.. Loved all the places we explored and the foods and drinks we tried. I’d did feel like an authentic and local experience, as advertised. So happy I did this tour which had been recommended by my friend who had done the same tour before.

Mrs. Tereza M. from Czech Republic

Food was delicious and our guide Olga was amazing, passionate for local food and her city, fun to be around, warm, attentive…truly like your local friend and very knowledgable as well. Olga brought us to great places, we would not find ourselves. Loved it! And I was soo full by the end of the tour. Great value for the money!

Our guide Pavel was really knowledgable and enthusiastic. He took us to bars and bistros that we would never have found by ourselves for the best of Kraków’s food and beers. Even though there was only 4 of us the tour still went ahead.

This was a wonderful tour hosted by Sabina. A fantastic host and we had the total pleasure of her company to ourselves. Apparently, two other people were supposed to be on our visit around Krakow, however they made a no show. Their loss totally.
The tour is well structured to give you a local feel through various destinations and as such a homely experience. We started off with sampling some local Kraft beers, before moving on to experience local soups and then food, in the former Jewish Quarter Truly delightful, ending in some walnut cake and vodka shots! Hey, it works!
It was a wonderful experience, only due to Sabina and her care and knowledge of history and expertise. She’s not only a wonderful ambassador for Urban Adventure, but also for her country. It was a total pleasure to spend the evening with her, share respective stories and experiences with her. Very recommended.

I’ve taken tours with Joanna, Olga, and Matthew and they have all been such knowledgeable and passionate about Kraków. I did a walking tour, beer tour, and food tour and they exceeded my expectations. I feel like I received great value and my guides were so personable and great storytellers.

        Ms. Joy D. from Canada

It was great! It was just me and the guide, Tomas. It was a great way to explore the city, try food and drinks, and learn more about culture and history of the area. I would highly recommend 🙂

Marta was personable, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and a real joy to be on a intimate tour with. This is our 2nd Urban Adventure tour and I just wish I had found you before now as we have traveled extensively in the last couple years. We look forward to our next tour with you in Paris.

Mrs. Louise D. from the United Kingdom

very friendly guide / liked all the places we visited /overall price is expensive though in comparison to the cost of the food items in Poland and could put off some people

        Mr. Tomasz K. from Spain

We had a great time with our enthusiastic guide Mateusz who took us to several local places where we had a chance to taste some really tasty food. Whenever you visit a city for the first time you never want to end up in a place where tourists eat. We were lucky to have Mateusz who kept us far away from those places and it felt as we were visiting Krakow reserved only for locals. This is great value for the price. I reckon that noone can finish this tour being hungry. No doubts that when travelling in the future I will look for simillar tours of Urban Adventures! Thank you!

Ms. Elaine W. from the United Kingdom

Easily one of the best tours I have been on – so much good food and conversation.

Ms. Rebecca S. from the USA

One of the best tours I have ever taken. Simply amazing. Don’t think, just book. You won’t regret it!

Ms. Tracy M. from the USA

We had a great time. We had just arrived in Krakow from the USA earlier that afternoon and thought this would be a good introduction to the city… and it was! Pavel was our guide and he was personable and engaging. We enjoyed going to different restaurants and definitely saw a different side of Krakow than we would have if we were on our own. It was also fun getting to know the other 2 couples on our tour. In fact, we went out for drinks with one couple following the tour. I would definitely recommend this tour, and will look into your tour group as I travel in the future.

        Mr. Andrew B. from Switzerland

Our guide was perfect and the food very good but my comment is that instead of tasting a big amount of 5 local dishes, the amounts (like for the soup, pierogi) could be smaller and one could maybe taste more of different foods? Maybe that is the case in one of your other tours, then it would be worth mentioning in the booking description of the tour…

Mr. Charles K. from the United Kingdom

Tomasz was very knowledgeable about we visited and the amount of interesting history was staggering. This enhanced the experience of visiting the places while eating. Would recommend going.

        Mr. Mike K. from Australia

Our guide Tomasz was brilliant. He showed us numerous out-of-the-way places for both drinks and food. He was very knowledgeable, and made the whole experience memorable

Mr. John W. from the USA

An exceptional Tour, the guide was excellent and the selection foods well representative (and Very good). We appreciated her knowledge of the local, and culture which complemented the food. We love Urban Adventures tours and this was one of the best.
